Mortal Kombat (2011) wins Fighting Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards 2011

Mortal Kombat (2011) won Fighting Game of the Year at GamesMaster Golden Joystick Awards 2011 beating Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition.  The new reboot brought back the blood and gore fans love but NetherRealm Studios listened to the fans and made a big tournament caliber fighter that stole the show at EVO 2011 and now just took the crown from a well established fighter/series and a game that has been hyped for about a decade.

Congratulations to NetherRealm Studios for the huge success that Mortal Kombat has had since the game was announced at E3 2010.  Rarely do you see a game with as much hype as Mortal Kombat had and be able to meet those expectations.
