If you’re having trouble launching some online-connected PS4 games today, you’re not the only one. Sony’s network outage page indicates that some games and social apps are experiencing some issues.
“You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features,” the status page reads. “Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”
The problems are intermittent, but we tried launching a digital copy of Destiny 2 and were met with an error. The PlayStation Twitter acknowledged the problem but offered no details.
We’re aware that users are having issues accessing some features on PSN. Thanks for your patience as we investigate.— Ask PlayStation (@AskPlayStation) July 12, 2018
It does seem like Fortnite is not among the games affected, but with the launch of season five today, the game is having its own server problems separate from PSN’s issues.
