After selfishly naming the site after myself and unintentionally giving the impression that I own the Mortal Kombat series, I must say it’s been one hell of a ride and I have no regrets! Way before my time with DMK, I was your average Mortal Kombat community “lurker” first dating back to the year of MK Trilogy in 1996. It wasn’t until three years later when my interest and self taught skills in web site developing picked up influenced by the now defunct MK Nightmares and BlueStar’s MK fan sites. Finally in February 2000, I launched DMK to the public and been running it non-stop ever since.

After several failed attempts at creating a Mortal Kombat fan site of my own, Dave was kind enough to let me come on board and help him with DMK. So when Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance was released in November 2002, I officially joined DMK as Dave’s right hand man. It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 9 years since joining DMK… but I wouldn’t trade this experience with anything, it’s been one heck of a ride.

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance was about six months away from release and I was really excited for the game since it had been four years since the last game. The quality news updates is what made me keep coming back to the site. After spending some time as a reader I finally joined the forums during the announcement of Mortal Kombat Deception. During my time here, it’s been like a second home.

I can’t even remember how I stumbled across here in the first place. I think it was in the lead up to MKDA. After the failure that was MK4 I lost interest in the series and in my surfing boredom at work, I found out that a new 3D MK was on the way. I think it was that shot of one of the programmers that had a 3Dimensional Raiden on the screen behind him that sold me – an image that just so happened to be posted here. Oh, I guess I can remember. Oh well…

I have been a fan of Mortal Kombat since Mortal Kombat II. Being that, I followed the series to Mortal Kombat 3, MK3 Ultimate for my Sega and then Mortal Kombat Trilogy and Mortal Kombat 4 for my Playstation. Sadly, I wasn’t able to continue to follow it since I didn’t have a PS2 when Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance was released, also making me forget about it. It wasn’t until October of 2005 that I had bought my own PS2, that I was able to continue on with the series. I bought Mortal Kombat: Deception first and then Deadly Alliance.
